Overview
This Arduino prototype shield (ProtoShield V5.0) brings every Arduino pin up to the top level, giving you easy access for soldering and wiring external components. It includes a reset button, a general-use button, and two ready-to-use LED circuits, plus exposed 5V, GND, and Raw power pins. A SOIC footprint is available for adding an IC directly to the shield. The included 170-point mini breadboard sticks directly onto the shield with a self-adhesive backing, so you can prototype first and solder permanently once your circuit works.

Does this shield include an Arduino board?
No. This is a prototype shield only — you'll need a separate Arduino UNO Rev3 or compatible board to mount it on.
Is the mini breadboard removable?
It sticks onto the shield using a self-adhesive backing, so it stays in place during use but can be removed if needed.
Can I add my own IC to this shield?
Yes, there's a dedicated SOIC footprint on the board for mounting an IC directly.
What's the difference between this and a full working-area shield?
