What Is the LiitoKala Lii-S8?
- An 8-slot smart charger with two additional dedicated 9V ports — 10 charging positions in total.
- Each of the 8 main slots operates independently, so different chemistries and sizes can charge side by side at the same time.
- A microcomputer measures each cell's internal resistance and sets an appropriate charging current automatically.
- You can override that current manually with a long press on the CURRENT button.
- A single LCD shows the charging process; the NEXT and PREV buttons cycle through each slot to read voltage, capacity, percentage and detected battery type.
- An activation function can bring fully drained (0V) cells back to a chargeable state.

- Cylindrical Li-ion / IMR / LiFePO4: 26650, 22650, 21700, 20700, 18650, 18490, 18350, 17670, 17500, 17355, 16340 (RCR123), 14500 and 10440.

Charging Currents and Speed
Charging speed on the Lii-S8 is not uniform across all slots, and it is worth understanding the pattern before you load it up:
- There are five current levels available: 0.30A, 0.50A, 0.70A, 1.00A and 2.00A.
- The 2A rate is available on four channels only — slots 1, 3, 6 and 8.
- All eight slots support 0.3A, 0.5A, 0.7A and 1A.
- Ni-MH and Ni-Cd charging is fixed at 500mA per slot and is not user-selectable.
- The two 9V ports charge at a fixed rate of approximately 85mA each.

A practical note: the manufacturer's own guidance is to stay within each battery's recommended charging current rather than defaulting to the fastest setting available, and to keep the charger in a ventilated indoor spot while it works.

Three things the table makes clear:
- Slot count and speed are the real dividing line. The Lii-S8 is the only one of the three that charges eight cells at once, and the only one with 2A available on four channels.
- 9V support is not exclusive to the Lii-S8. The Lii-D4XL also carries two 9V ports at the same approximate 85mA rate. If 9V charging is your only requirement, the cheapest unit in the lineup already covers it.
- The Lii-D4XL has one advantage the bigger units do not: a built-in AC power supply, so it plugs straight into the wall with no external 12V brick. It also takes C and D cells, which the Lii-S6 does not.

Who Should Buy Each Charger?
- Choose the Lii-S8 if you regularly cycle six or more cells at once — workshops, repair benches, drone and RC users with multiple packs — or if you want the fastest turnaround, since it is the only unit here with four 2A channels and a 48W supply.
- Choose the Lii-S6 if you need mid-range capacity at a lower price and do not need 9V charging or C and D cells. It still gives you 2A on three slots.
- Choose the Lii-D4XL if your volume is lower — a handful of cells for flashlights and small electronics — but you want AC-direct convenience, 9V support, or the ability to charge C and D cells. The trade-off is a 1A ceiling, so each cell takes longer.

Two habits worth adopting whatever cells you use:
- Match the charging current to the cell, not to the charger. A 2A setting is useful for a healthy high-capacity cell and unnecessary stress for a small 14500 or an older, tired one.
- Take batteries out once the display reads 100% and the indicator turns green, and unplug the charger. Leaving cells sitting in a powered charger indefinitely is the single easiest habit to fix.
