Overview

This Arduino Nano shield is a versatile working-area board for soldering components and building fast projects based on the Arduino Nano. It ships as an Arduino project kit with a built-in male header that connects directly to your Arduino Nano board, plus female headers for all Nano ports. Terminal blocks cover every port on the board as well as voltage input and output, and the shield outputs 5V DC and GND directly from the Nano's power lines to power your components.

Note: this shield does not include an Arduino Nano board — pair it with an Arduino Nano board.

Key Features

  • Built-in male header for easy connection to your Arduino Nano board
  • Female headers for all Arduino Nano ports
  • Terminal blocks for every port on the Arduino board
  • Terminal blocks for voltage input/output
  • Outputs 5V DC and GND from Nano lines to power external components
  • Working area with ordered output ports matching the Arduino Nano pinout
  • Breadboard-style holes for easy soldering of external components
  • All MCU ports arranged in order for quick reference

Applications

  • Rapid prototyping and testing circuits with an Arduino Nano
  • Turning a breadboard prototype into a permanent, soldered build
  • Educational and hobby projects needing a compact Nano-based control board
  • Space-constrained projects where a full-size Uno shield is impractical

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this shield include an Arduino Nano board?

No. This is a working-area shield only — you'll need a separate [Arduino Nano board](رابط 8338) to use it.

Do I need to solder components directly onto this shield?

Yes, the board is designed for soldering — the holes are spaced the same as a breadboard, so you can mount and solder external components directly onto the working area.

Can I use this shield for a permanent project instead of just prototyping?

Yes. Because everything is soldered rather than plugged into a breadboard, this shield is a good way to turn a working Nano prototype into a more durable, permanent build.

Is this the same as a CNC shield for Arduino Nano?

No. This shield is a general-purpose working area for soldering and prototyping. If you're building a CNC or laser-engraving project, RAM also stocks a dedicated Arduino Nano CNC Machine V4 Board designed specifically for driving stepper motors.
