Overview
The WiFi Arduino MEGA2560 With ESP8266 is a customized version of the classic Arduino MEGA R3 board, with full integration of the Atmel ATmega2560 microcontroller and the ESP8266 Wi-Fi IC — including 32Mb of flash memory and a CH340G USB-TTL converter on a single board. All components can be set up to work together or independently, and each module has its own pinout headers. The board includes a DIP-switch to connect the modules — for example, USB to ATmega2560, USB to ESP8266, or ATmega2560 to ESP8266 — making it a convenient solution for projects that need both Arduino Mega and WiFi in one place. Via USB, you can update sketches and firmware for both the ATmega2560 and the ESP8266.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use this board with the standard Arduino IDE?
Yes, the ATmega2560 side programs the same way as a standard Arduino Mega, and the ESP8266 side is compatible with the ESP8266 Arduino core, so you can program both from the Arduino IDE.
Where can I find the pinout for the ESP8266 module on this board?
The ESP8266 module follows the standard NodeMCU ESP8266 pinout. Each module (ATmega2560 and ESP8266) has its own dedicated pinout headers on the board.
Do I need to wire the ESP8266 and ATmega2560 together myself?
No — the DIP-switch on the board lets you connect the modules (USB to ATmega2560, USB to ESP8266, or ATmega2560 to ESP8266) without manual wiring.
Is a datasheet available for the ESP8266 module used on this board?
The ESP8266 module follows the standard ESP8266 datasheet specifications. Contact our sales team if you need the specific reference documentation for this board.
What's the difference between this board and a regular Arduino Mega2560?
This board adds a built-in ESP8266 WiFi module with 32Mb of flash memory to a standard Arduino Mega2560 layout, so you get WiFi connectivity without needing a separate module or extra wiring.
