Directions for Use of Metallic Marker

1. Preparation:

  • Ensure the surface you plan to write on is clean and dry. Metallic markers work best on non-porous surfaces such as paper, plastic, glass, metal, PCB Boards, and wood.

2. Shake the Marker:

  • Before use, shake the marker well with the cap on to mix the ink. This helps to ensure an even flow of metallic ink.

3. Prime the Marker:

  • If the marker is new or has not been used for a while, you may need to press the tip down on a scrap piece of paper a few times to get the ink flowing. Be careful not to press too hard to avoid excess ink.

4. Test the Marker:

  • Test the marker on a piece of scrap material to check the color and flow of the ink. This will also help you get a feel for the marker's writing style.

5. Writing or Drawing:

  • Hold the marker at a slight angle and apply gentle pressure while writing or drawing. For best results, use smooth, even strokes.
  • If you want to create thicker lines, you can press down a bit harder.

6. Allow to Dry:

  • After writing or drawing, allow the ink to dry completely. Drying times may vary depending on the surface and environmental conditions.

7. Cap the Marker:

  • After use, always replace the cap tightly to prevent the ink from drying out.

8. Storage:

  • Store the marker horizontally or with the tip facing down to maintain ink flow.

Safety Precautions:

  • Use in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.

Cleaning:

  • If any ink spills occur, clean immediately with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, a suitable cleaner may be required depending on the surface.
