Usage Notes:

  • Use a stable 5–9 V DC power supply rated for at least 500 mA.
  • Connect a 4–8 Ω speaker for optimal loudness; higher impedance gives less volume.
  • Adjust volume via the potentiometer on the board.
  • Avoid over-driving input signals above ~0.4 V to prevent distortion at high gain.
  • Optionally, lower the fixed gain to ~20× by modifying the gain resistor or removing it between pins 1 and 8 on the LM386.
